Zahra Majeed

Field trips offer a wealth of opportunity, but many learners miss out. Zahra fell in love with this problem as a classroom teacher when she helped her students plan, lead, and have a lot of fun with independent and inquiry-driven field studies. Her deep belief in the transformative power of out-of-school and experiential learning emerged once she saw the positive and far-reaching effects it had on her students.

Zahra started her career with Teach For America in the Rio Grande Valley, where she received her district’s highest teaching award. She has lived and worked across the country while serving in teaching, administrative, and consultant roles with traditional, Montessori, progressive, and enrichment programs. Her depth of experience ranges from early learning through college and career development.

She now joins Platform Venture Studio to build and scale solutions that help every student access their world through more and better field learning opportunities.
